SAXX Underwear Co. is looking for a Logistics Specialist – Outbound (12-month contract) to join the team based at our Vancouver office location in a hybrid work environment.
THE LOGISTICS SPECIALIST WILL…
Report to Manager, Distribution and Logistics and support the execution of revenue plans and strategic projects while partnering with Sales channels owners, external distribution partners and Retailers with the objective of streamline the delivery of goods in full and on time to customers (DIFOT).
We work in a fast-paced environment, rolling up our sleeves to build something bigger than ourselves. You must be comfortable working within a small and dynamic team, be able to communicate effectively, juggle multiple priorities, proactively solve problems, identify, and communicate risk, and deliver against deadlines. This is a hands-on position which will require the application of strategic thinking and the execution of day-to-day operations. More importantly, you need to be able to integrate fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka don’t take yourself too seriously.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Monitor performance of different logistic services providers to ensure compliance with service level agreements to ensure the seamless transportation of goods.
- Build strong relationships and proactively communicate with internal stakeholders (Sales Operations, Sales, and Finance) and external stakeholders (multiple 3PL partners) to ensure the timely release of products to maintain service level targets
- Coordinate and manage inbound receiving, handling, and last mile logistics (warehouse to B2B and D2C customers) to ensure goods are delivered as economically and efficiently as possible
- Identify gaps and opportunities in current processes and work with the business to implement solutions and best practices
- Provide performance and exception reporting for root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Process optimization through the identification of non-value-added activities
- Support the replenishment and planning actions of products to maintain inventory levels that cover demand of a commercial area and identify and escalate supply risks and shortages
- Support the onboarding of new customers or new sales programs at the 3PLs
- Troubleshoot quality issues, recalls, relabelling and initiate and/or report deviations within the ERP system and external systems
- Use analytics and quantitative methods to identify trends, manage performance and ensure inventory and shipments are deployed most effectively through the Supply Chain to minimize redeployment, keep transportation costs low and maximize customer fulfillment,
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and vendor guides for the organization
- Responsible for managing distribution expenses through ongoing analysis and concise, data-driven reporting
- Review, validate and approve logistics invoices and costs for payment and address billing discrepancies/corrections with third party vendors as needed
- Other duties may arise from time to time and as a team, we look to support each other
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a variety of Supply Chain roles with a focus on warehousing and last mile delivery or international logistics (experience in retail is an asset)
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent
- Broad understanding of Supply Chain end-to-end, including the tools and processes associated with Order Fulfillment and Sales & Operational Planning/Integrated Business Planning, interaction with Logistics providers (internal and 3rd party)
- Ability to think "outside the box", thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and topics
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communication platforms to ensure success of projects while building strong and collaborative partnerships
- Ability to lead through influence, utilize business acumen to determine best course of action and trade-offs, and utilize excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate decisions and resolve conflicts
- Excellent PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000. The final aligned upon salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and job-related knowledge.
