Senior Manager, Wholesale Marketing

SAXX Underwear Co. is looking for a Senior Manager, Wholesale Marketing to join the team based at our Portland office location.

THE SENIOR MANAGER, WHOLESALE MARKETING WILL….

Be responsible for the strategy and execution of all omni-channel marketing initiatives within the wholesale channel at SAXX. This integral role ensures that all campaigns align with the wider brand strategy, that the brand shows up consistently across all retail environments, and that strong relationships with key wholesale partners are maintained.

Internally, this individual is the brand representative with sales, and the sales representative with brand. They will have a broad understanding of the workings of both departments to ensure communication flows seamlessly between both teams. This position supports wholesale account growth, brand awareness, new customer acquisition, sell-through and cross-selling worldwide.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

Channel Strategy & Leadership

  • Define the global wholesale & distributor marketing strategy, aligning with overall brand priorities.
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify growth opportunities and define annual channel objectives.
  • Act as the senior marketing liaison for key distributors and wholesale partners.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop your team member, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Account Marketing

  • Work closely with buyers, retail media contacts and sales directors to develop and implement omni-channel marketing campaigns that are aligned with the internal SAXX marketing calendar, and tailored to individual key accounts in both the US & Canada.
  • Build scalable marketing toolkits tailored for distributors and wholesale accounts.
  • Continue to test and learn on new vendor marketing initiatives to support seasonal campaigns, product launches and partnerships including, but not limited to email, META, on-site display, sponsored ads, in-store secondary placements and retail adjacent OOH.
  • Constantly evaluate and audit SAXX’s presence on retailer websites to ensure the brand is showing up consistently. Recommend any adjustments to relevant retailer merchandising teams.
  • Attend retailer headquarters and store locations as needed to meet / build relationships / conduct research.
  • Operate as a channel owner and active contributor to the internal GTM process.
  • Manage the relationship with SAXX’s 3rd party servicing agency.
  • Act as the internal liaison between the brand/creative team and the sales/commercial team, ensuring clear communication, timely brief submission, relevant information dissemination.

Fixtures & POP

  • Own the general fixture and POP program, ensuring that all display elements and POP items are functional and serve a purpose.
  • Identify any incremental display needs based on new channel streams, new product launches, etc., and work with 3rd party display vendors to develop and produce items in a timely manner.
  • Manage and refresh any current custom display and shop-in-shops that are in market, and execute on any new opportunities that arise. 

Tradeshows

  • Build and maintain a tradeshow calendar, ensuring that all registration and execution timelines are built out and adhered to.
  • Where necessary attend tradeshows to manage setup and tear down, support the sales/commercial team and represent the brand.
  • Manage the SAXX tradeshow booth, ensuring any maintenance issues are addressed with vendor, and refreshed booth creative is briefed in for each show.
  • Ideate on additional marketing opportunities to broaden SAXX’s reach at larger tradeshows.

Budget Management

  • Act as the owner of the wholesale marketing budget, ensuring that all invoices are approved and entered in a timely manner, campaign spend remains within budget, and any accruals are tracked month to month.
  • Liaise with finance to ensure payments are processed for all vendors.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, wholesale marketing, or trade marketing.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing (digital, wholesale, events, partnerships, PR).
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading and working on projects in a multi-function (product, sales and marketing) environment.
  • Strong process-driven abilities and a passion for facilitating structure.
  • Strong relationship builder and peer influencer.
  • Proactive and willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful.
  • Travel – required within North America.
